This mass set is inspired by the patterns used by A. W. Pugin in the construction on the Wiseman Precious Mitre.
The set is founded on a gold and ivory damask with red velvet Y orphreys embroidered the whole way down in gold thread and pearls. The whole is diapered with a design from Pugin's 'Glossary of Ecclesiastical Ornament' showing a monogram of the Holy Name interwoven with a cross and sewn with a pearl in the centre of each design. Each face of the chasuble is divided by diced gold braid into four and outlined in red velvet to tie the whole together and produce a uniquely sumptuous effect.
All items that the Dowry Workshop produces include:
- Chasuble
- Maniple and Stole
- Burse and Veil
- Apparels for the amice, sleeves and skirt of the alb front and back
We are also able to produce matching dalmatics and tunicles for this set. If you would like more information, please get in touch and let us know.
